Question Will 315/30/18 PS2 fit a WB 996?

I am intending to try some Michelin PS2 on my 996 C4S as a replacement for the current Pirellis and was looking at changing from 225/40-295/30 to 235/40-315/30 on the OEM rims. The tyre sites seem to say that the tyres will fit OK and the rolling radius match perfectly front to back so no diff problems but would appreciate any comments from C4S or turbo owners running this size on a 8x11 alloy.
Thanks

I run 315's in the rear of my Turbo for the track. For the street I stick with 295's.

Thanks Dell - do you run 235 on the front at the track?

I'm running 245 right now and it's too much tire. Rubs. I will be moving to the 235 next set.

Is that on a turbo or a GT3 - lost track of what you are driving.

I've seen 315's on a NB996, a WB996 should be easy.

2007 GT3 stock is 235 front 305 rear on 19s so I figure its good numbers. Since I'm running 19s and the GT3 rolls out of the factory cornering good I might try that. Bought the car used with 235 and 275s on 19s. Hopefully the tail wont be as inclined to break loose wearing the 305's.

Anyway the 235 front is good all around the years. It's the rear that needs softer rubber or wider since it's the area that breaks loose first.

Dell, if you still don't know what you are doing, there are a lot of knowledgeable guys here that you could have asked about the 245 tire size BEFORE you put them on your car.

Bawhahahahahah!!!!

I really should have asked the track experts before I ventured out into untested waters. What was I thinking.

America's Tire web site has a section called "plus size" for tires, that informs you alternate sizes for tires on a particular car.

I think I've heard of the skirt being removed to make more room. It works for sur on other makes of cars and somebody on here did it.
