hankook's, i've had them on my car for a few hundred mile and adore them. i had sumi's this last set and they're not comparable imo.

I think that it depends on how you use your car. Mine is a daily driver, seeing about 1000 miles a month. I bought a new set of Hankooks last year along with a new set of wheels. The OEM wheels have Michelin Pilot PS2s in decent shape that I will save for DE use. After 10,000 miles, the rears are shot and are so loud that it sounds like I'm riding inside of an Abrams M1 tank. I ordered new tires today and the Sumitomos were on my short list due to the price, good reviews on Tire Rack, and the price. I was actually more interested in treadlife than ultimate performance, so my focus went to the Continental Extreme Contact DWS, which I have used on two other vehicles including my wife's Cayenne S, and have gotten 50,000 miles out of the previous sets. What I ended up ordering though was a set of the new Yokohama 'W' rated ENVigors. They are a new design with a treadwear rating like the Contis, but were $70 a set cheaper. The early reviews of them are great, but we'll see. $681 for the set of 4 shipped from Tire Rack, and that's for 275/35/18s on the back.

Same situtation: I have PS2s on the car and would love to replace them, but at $1450 a set of 4 is way too expensive. I am leaning towards the Sumis but the Kooks look good too. I am most concerned about noise and quality ride. However the one thing about PS2s is that that they have the two sizes that I want for my C4S, the 305s rear, and the 235/240s front, wherease both Sumis and Kooks are limited in sizes.

I had to make the same decision recently and it boiled down to the sumis being avail for next day delivery and hankooks some weeks away. So far the sumis are great.

Well, I am about to pull trigger and after doing a lot of reading and speaking with local freinds I am going Hankook V12's. The only question was size and i am convinced that 235/40 18 front / 295/30 18 rear are in my near future. So in a few weeks i'll post some first hand reviews.

I went with Vredestein Sessanta. Made in the Netherlands and am om my second set. Last long and about $850 for the set.

I ordered the Sumitomos today at Discount Tire, will get them with installation and everything for $830.00 (225 front and 285 rear). At the moment I have Goodyear Eagle and they are way too loud. I made around 15k Mls on the rear tires.

I paid just over $600 for a set of Sumis for my 996TT, and $80 to have them balanced and installed. That's less than 1/2 the price of PS2s - and I know I can't tell the $800 difference.
