No - but this little joker (txhokie4life) sent me a PM trying to buy it fast with funny-facts - I think he's going home from juvenile detention somewhere

What was the original failure mode on the engine?

Did it get an upgraded IMS?

Customized True Market Value® Prices
Trade-In Private Party Dealer Retail
National Base Price $12,626 $14,669 $17,167
Optional Equipment $389 $457 $599
5-Speed Automatic Transmission $389 $457 $599
Color Adjustment - Other $0 $0 $0
Regional Adjustment - for Zip Code 78739 $-132 $-154 $-180
Mileage Adjustment - 60,000 miles $752 $752 $752
Condition Adjustment - Clean $0 $0 $0
Total $13,635 $15,724 $18,338

Considering the market for 99's has cratered,
needing the fuel gauge and the brake booster
taken care of I think you are asking too much for it.

I can offer you $15k cash for it.

I have family in Northern Virginia -- give me a good
excuse to make a Christmas visit.

You can't blame someone for lowballing you, on the otherhand, there is a time to reject any offers that make you want to hold onto the Porsche. I would think a fresh engine is a huge plus as long as the buyer wants a Tip. GL

I don't mind being lo-balled, sort of expect it really. I think it's funny that the kid spent some time trying to gin up that ****-mamie story of it's value. I think he was serious and that's the hilarious part.

I have been known to tell prospective buyers who low-ball that "this obviously isn't the right car for someone like you."

It's going to be a soft market no matter what the price until after the holidays. Unless you are willing to dump the price....

Me? I'm still thinking about adding RS mounts and racing mine. I'm somewhat trying to sell mine but at the same time I'm bidding on a 67 911 roller instead of selling and buying something else as a substitute. I mean really, you buy one more and race the other, it can't be THAT much more expensive? Right?

I'll buy it in 100 days for $900. Stick to your guns or you'll be haggled to death on negotiations!

LOL! I think the reman engines are close to 15K now...my car is pristine. Nobody work or paint work, all original too. No mods except for front side markers upgraded to clear. People always oogle over it when I show it, but it sits in the garage - can't drive to work and I drive my SUV or C3 vette to the club on weekends. It's really kind of a 'dress car' for me.

I tried to get my wife to get this as her d/d since her Subaru was hit several weeks ago but she wanted another mid suv..... That's why I didn't call for more info... I would however fix the booster and anything else at issue.... Although they are easy to explain it opens the door to picking out things and a buyer creating a longer list than is "real"...
