The targa adds a bit of weight high in the center of balance. If you plan to track the car a targa is probably not the best choice. The targa roof mechanism can be very expensive to repair and in general targas are going to sell for more than a coupe.

I heard the weight gain is somewhere between the coupe and cab. I will consider the extra mechanics also. I will probably end up with a coupe, just exploring all my options.

I tried a couple of Targas when I bought my C4S. Both Targas had squeeks in the rear window mechanism.
