Default door wont open

so after washing my car, i went to get in it and the door wouldnt open i tried locking it and unlocking it. the window would go down but the door wouldnt budge. i went to the passenger side and tried though there and for the first couple of times same result. it did finally open from the inside and now so far its not doing it. just wondering what could have caused this.

on a side not i also noticed water leaking on my passenger side under the dash in the front left corner. WTF!

any help would be great! i called my p-car tech, but havent heard back from him yet.

Can't speculate on the doors not opening but your water may be from a leaking windshield gasket.

as for the door.... you may have to open the panel up. There is a clip in there that is known to fail and is known to cause the said problem.

If the temp. Is as cold as it is here In PA. Then your doors could of froze up from washing it.

I've had the same issue as well. The problem is intermittent. Here is the link that describes what to look for.

There are several microswitch sensors in the door that monitor the state of the doors, locks and windows. These are known to crack and fail with age. It may be that one of the switches that regulates the locking mechanism is faulty.

It's on my list of things to do before autocross season starts up again.

Check the drains in the front "pan" around/under the battery area. Not the battery pan but around it.
