X74 Sway Bar Question
I installed an X74 kit on my 02 C2 without sway bars.
Now I have an opportunity to buy a set for a fair price.
However, I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on the X74 sway bars compare to the stock bars. Do they make much of a difference for street driving?
My car won't be used on the track but I do enjoy taking the car out for agressive driving when the roads are clear.
Thanks!

The X74 bars are the ROW M030 bars. The X74 provides shorter / stiffer struts. The thicker sways give you flatter cornering when combined with the X74 struts. I'd put them, you will have a complete kit.

If you can find it there was a PCA article "996 Standard and Sport Suspensions Analysed" by Russ Dickerson, Bob Gagnon, and Mike Schatz, that is a good read. I can't find it online anymore.
996 factory stabilizer bar information from the article:
US Std Front: 23.1 mm dia., 3.4 mm wall thickness
Sport Front: 23.6 mm dia, 3.5 mm wall thickness (9.58% stiffer than std)
US Std Rear: 18.5 mm dia, 2.5 mm wall thickness
Sport Rear: 19.6 mm dia, 2.6 mm wall thickness (24.15% stiffer than std)
The Sport Stabilizer bar is the same for RoW M030, US M030 and X74.
I've never experienced a car with X74 struts + Std Stabilizer bars so I can't comment, but if the car is never on the track/autocross I'm wondering if the added stiffness will make much difference on the street. In fact wouldn't the increased amount of roll and softness of the Std setup help in the rain and snow when you want more weight transferred to the loaded tires?
