Default Cabriolet wind deflector question

Can the wind deflector be left in place while the cabriolet top is closing/closed? Or is it too tall or wide?

Thank you!

Sure, no problem. You can also leave it in place, but fold the vertical part flat to improve visiblity out the back window. Easy to do with one hand. However, you will need to remove it to put kids in the back seat.
The folded-up deflector fits neatly in the frunk.
To re-install it, you need to fold down the back seats.

Incidentally there is a TSB on the windscreen about the ability to replace the catches if they break. Prior to the TSB, one had to replace the whole unit.

It works both up (in wind deflector mode) as well as leaving it in place but dropping the wind deflector portion to it's horizontal position. We left ours up 24/7 since it visibility is still very good for the driver but acts as a screen for both sunlight/glare as well as a privacy screen of sorts.

Yes, you can close the top with it installed...I have one but rarely use it....Being 6' 2" with long arms the seat goes all the way back and also recline.....there is no room for the windscreen, unless the steering wheel is on my chest....
