Same here bro. Works for me too. My bypass exhaust been on for over a year now. And the countdown for removal has stopped!

That's because your cobra and vette had a nice rumble to them. You need to drive it more, if you don't i'm breaking into your garage to take it for a joy ride.
lol, But when I had the Vette & Cobra I didn't have a baby. Now with the little girl here, it's hard to get out much.

Sweet, we need details on the Vette and Cobra.

Pics wouldn't hurt either.

03 and 04 Cobra SVT are nice I drove one especially the SVT series. Do you think the bypass pipes helped with better acceleration or just more noise?

I just installed mine this afternoon. I have mixed feelings on them. They sound great but they are just a tad too loud for me. I'm 24 and have yet to lose my hearing and want to keep it that way so I'll be putting the stockers back on in a few weeks.

Nice

Do you miss the torque of the Z06? I test drove one and was VERY impressed with the massive power available from about 2000 RPM. In order to get the same zip from my 996 I need to be above 4,500+/- RPM. Different strokes for different folks i guess but the Z06 is certainly better suited to U.S. roads were you are often accelerating from low RPM.

I have had the Fabspeed muffler bypass pipes for over a year now and I love the sound! This is not my daily driver but I will not put the mufflers back on. They weigh 25 lbs each by the way....

My SVT Cobra was way louder then my Porsche. I don't think it's all that bad. You can basically control the sound with the gas pedal.

You can control the noise with the gas but man that start-up rev is loud, coupled with the sound resonating through my garage I'm quite certain I woke up all my neighbors this morning.

Not really that bad. You have some control on the gas. My son sleeps above the garage in our 3 story house and he never wakes up. It is a deep low grumble. They are not for everyone, but work fine for me.

Also, if you pay for Fabspeed...you are nuts. They all work the same. I actually got my 996 with Fabspeed tips on the OEM exhaust that now sit in the corner of the garage. Granted I like their intake, but the exhaust stuff is way overpriced. This is coming from an Ex-BMW Dinan guy...

Again, these are not for everyone, but weight savings...other benefits...I like them and they stay.

After years of owning over 20 cars....and 20 year military retired guy, the exhaust is not a big issue. Come shoot my Kimber 1911 Raptor...that is loud. Just a young at heart 40 year old here.
