Default 996 TT wheels listing price advice.

My 996 came with two sets of wheels. A set of oem 01 996 tt which are chromed twist hollow spokes 18x11/18x8 and an expensive set of speedlines. Keeping the speedlines but want to get rid of the twist hollow spokes to recoup some of my engine rebuild costs. Was wondering what price I should list them at and where. EBay?

just me....$500 if they are in really nice shape

not the highest sought after wheel on the market but with winter coming someone might be looking for a set to put winter tires on....you might get more be could take a very long time to find the right guy....

ebay isnt bad but dont forget you pay 15%+ in fees and they now take a fee sabed on your shipping cost (like WTH! what does that have to do with anything) and since these will cost about $120 to ship you will loose about $70 for your privilege to sell them on ebay...

but they might sell for more there than anywhere else

You should post them here on Rennlist first IMO...membership has its privileges!

Dont you have to pay a lot of money to list them on the forum? I put them up on ebay and craigslist.

I just bought a set of hollow spokes yesterday for $500 locally. Slight cosmetic damage but otherwise in good shape. I needed an extra set of wheels for track days...

Post a for sale thread and Im sure you will find a buyer...

Good luck!

Solid Spokes = $200-$400
Hollow Spokes = $500-$700
Tires Extra

I bought last summer Solid Spokes for $250 and Hollow Spokes for $600...

Paid $900 for Solid Spokes 5 years ago...

Hollow Spokes are 24lb (Combined) lighter than Solid Spokes... Thats alot of Rotational Mass...

They actually don't make good winter wheels because there aren't winter tires available in the proper size. The winter tires for the C4S and the turbo require the rears to drop down to 10x18. You can fudge it a little and put a tire that's close to the right size onto the 11x18s, but that's not something that too many buyers want to do.

you can put 265/35/18 or 275/35/18 on them, they work fine, mine have for 5 Winters with 265, i DD my car regardless the weather going to try 275/35 next time i heard the Ride's even better
