Welcome. My perfectly non-scientific opinion is that the 3.4 motors, once they pass 15K or so mileage without major incedent, are the most durable of the first generation (pre 95) water cooled powerplants.
I drive my C2 (with Blizzacks on the stock 17s) during the winter and so long as I don't encounter icing they work great. Unfortuantely, living in the Deleware Valley, the sleet and freezing rain capitol of the world, we are challnged by our winter conditions. But you should see more of the "loosely packed powder" variey of slalom conditions. Big fun. Just watch out for those teetering SUVs sliding in your direction while their pilots chatter away on Blue Tooth. Better call in sick.
Enjoy!
