Look again. 1997 Type 996 is right there, third tile back.

1997 was the European launch of the new water-cooled 911.

BTW: 996 is NOT the ugly step child

EMBRACE THE HEADLIGHTS - this is the official 991 launch video.

I just wonder who in Porsche marketing approved this little do-dad. It is fine... and the personalization was a nice touch. But at best it is an mildly interesting dust trap. Makes you wonder what mock up ideas they discarded.

^ I signed up for mine. Waiting for it to arrive. I like Porsche dust traps, and this will be a nice addition

Rec'd mine Saturday - neat - I put the tiles in reverse order so 1963 is first. You can really see the evolution in 3d.

Porsche sent a flyer and you had to register for it.

I register'd for it and it has yet to show up at my door although they did say the quantity was limited. It looks sweet so here's to hoping that mine is still on its way.

Damn! I don't recall seeing anything in the mail... with my luck it went to my old address.
