Considering Fister D Muffler
My stock mufflers are really tame. Considering Fister D Mufflers to replace my stock ('99 996 Carrera Cab 4) mufflers. Not looking for performance increase, just need more growl. Anybody have good experience with them?

I think everyone that has them likes them, a quick search will tell you that.
For me, since my cab is a daily driver, I dont want any sound coming out, I want a ride thats as quiet as possible.

I just modded mine this week. I love the sound. Mine car is. Daily driver so didn't want anything extreme, and this fits the bill perfectly. Just cruising around the car sound nearly the same. When you open it up it sounds awesome! Do it you won't regret it.

No regrets. Excellent sound. Excellent quality. Excellent vendor to deal with. And Darin's a great guy. No droning. Better than any other aftermarket exhaust on any 996. Bold statement, but other exhausts seem to change the sound while Fister's simply makes a little (depending on size of bypass pipes) louder the already great engine sound.

Darin is awesome. Cruising you can't really hear it, but there's a big difference when you're really on it. There is also a noticeable difference on startup where it growls a bit and accelerating at low rpms in the lower gears it is very noticeable as well

I have them on my Cab and I absolutely love them. I saved my original mufflers in case I didn't like the sound and now it seems silly. I've never heard of anyone going back to stock after hearing the FisterD's. It's a nice deep sound, not obnoxious.

Fister D sport mufflers are fantastic. It's a great mod. It makes your 911 sound like it should have sounded from the factory.

Just put on a new set of mod'd muffs from Darin. Perfect balance of quiet and authority. Had them at the track and really nice sound. Will try a 92 dB day in a couple of weeks. It will be close. Stock muffs put out 87 dB. Really nice welds. No way you will get welds like that at a local Midas. Darin also cleans them up real nice too. He can also fix rattling cans.

I purchased the anodized set from Darrin about a year and half ago, and could not be happier. The workmanship is first class, and the sound gets better each time I start my car Fister is a first class company

Absolutely do it. You will not regret it. It gives you full control over how you want the car to sound: get on it, and it's a beast. Cruise and shift early, and it's quite low key. You won't want low key after a while
