Try to push the throttle full open and start. By doing this, ecu will stop the injectors and try to clear the flood.
It seem's thou, that you have no spark.

Get the ecu codes checked, there might be a problem, even when the cel is not on

hope the fuel you added was 93 octane although one would think half a gallon added to already good gas would be ok. Did you add the lawn mower gas BEFORE or after it started to cut out on you? There is usually grass clippings around thed neck of a lawn mower gas can. Or you may have ran the tank very low and disturbed some **** in the tank which found its way to the carb. Especially with it being a high milage vehicle. There may be some crap in there moreso than a lower milage vehicle. Just a thought.

I concur. Pull a spark plug wire, check to see if you have spark.

Someone suggested that this is a high mileage car. How do we know that? If it is and you do have spark, maybe the distributor is worn, or the crank sensor is bad.

I agree it sounds like an electrical issue. What's it like when you try to start it? Any noise? Can you hear the starter trying to turn things over and it just doesn't?

PS-We don't have distributors.

I had a VERY simular condition recently. The re-juv valve was sticking open and putting a vaccum on the fuel tank. take off the fuel cap, try to start and see what you get. It may toss you a CEL.

When it first stalled. It did try to start for about a second. So I added about 1/2 gal. Of Lawnmower gas. Last night I added 2 more gallons of gas & no start. I did notice the antifreeze was 2 cups low in the overflow. I added Porsche antifreeze. Now it just turns over only. It has 86k miles on it.

There is a TSB about the fact that the gauge is incapable of reading accurately below the 20l mark. In other words, if you add less than 20l, the gauge won't even register the difference. I would get a 5 gallon can of 93 octane and add it to your car. That way you know for sure that it is not a fuel-level issue.

+1 on the idea of leaving the fuel cap off and trying to start the car. If the evap valve or canister have failed, this should help.

Ok Tom thanks for the advise. I'll add some more gas tomorrow.

No codes showed up. I unhooked the battery a couple times when trying to start. It might of reset the codes.

It was the crank sensor.
