www.copart.com is a good salvage auction site.

They have a fair amount of 996s on there - seemingly nice GT2 Sandy flood victim right now.

found one 8 months ago for 5k, 160k miles, ugly paint but ran good.. He sold to a friend of his, so I lost out.. sort of what I am looking for, sub 10k
