Default Your favorite non-996 Porsche

Quiet day at work? Let's have some fun. What's your favorite non-996 Porsche? It can be a certain model, a specific car, a special edition, etc. It just needs to be a Porsche.

I'd give a teste for a Singer car.

Mine is the good old 928...because of its cool factor in the movies Risky Business and Weird Science. Very formative and i always catch myself browsing 928 ads.

904.

I enjoyed my '69 European 911S -- but a fellow from WV took me for a ride in his 904 with a 3 liter IROC, dual plug engine. Words do not describe. As he said, he liked the 4 cylinder. Went to a 2.5 911S engine which was better. But the IROC engine finally scared him. Car had beautiful lines, but lowered? If you ran over a beer can, you could feel it all the way down the car. Whew.

A lot of the race cars are on my list. 904s and 962s are probably what I lust for the most. But, of course, what I can afford is this:

Man...this is a super hard question...I do like them all. However, my first gut reaction is my 997.2 but then I would have to say the GT3RS version would be even better. But I am fooling my self if a modern Porsche is my dream, the 993 is probably the best of the aircooled, but wait, I really love 356, but I remember falling in love with the 928 in the late seventies.....on second thought, I remember the beautiful picture of the red 930 on our fireplace mantel back in the 80s until my wife said it had to go...
.....aw hell, who asked this crazy question anyway....I am so confused.

Wow that is a good question. The Singer for a testie is a good pic. In that same vein I might have Magnus Walker build me one.

KC beat me to it, I would definitely have a Magnus Walker esque 911. This is a 68 R, and I would give a lot to have one...probably more than is logical.

Yeah, cause nothing says America like a German car rebuilt by a British guy, lol.

BTW, I agree one hundred percent!
