I'd congratulate you but I believe Internet etiquette stipulates that without pictures it didn't happen. I secretly lusted after the G8 GXP before Pontiac's demise. Bob Lutz was a good thing for Pontiac...and would have been better if he had more authority earlier on.

You should put a Porsche motor in it. Say, a V8, or better yet a flat 6

I hope the color of your GTO is Yellow Jacket. Would be fun if both of your cars were bright yellow. Then again, they might clash.

+1 on Bob Lutz I was a Pontiac fan for decades until I upgrades to Porsche. I considered myself a prospect for the now stillborn El Camino revival from Holden.

Your right it is Yellow Jacket. The easiest color to find in a big parking lot. Love the bright yellow.
