New 99 C2 Coupe
Well, I'm the proud new owner of a 1999 C2 Coupe, 6spd. It seems to have all the right options, artic silver, full supple metropol leather, traction control, hifi sound. Overall stunning condition with 47K and decent service records from Herb Chambers Porsche from new. Has a relatively recent clutch, RMS, and brakes rotors.
Just had it delivered to Philadephia from NH sight unseen!! I must be out of my mind, but for once made a great purchase.
Only needs minor items if that. The last porsche I had was a one owner 1983 928. Liked that car, but nothing compared to the Carrera...like most of us around here, just fulfilling my childhood dreams!!
I look forward to posting in the future.

Thanks to all. I also have a 2000 MB S500 that is mint and thought of trading that for a late model Quattroporte. Decided to keep it and add the Carrera to the mix. Boy I'm glad I did. After researching numerous cars (basically all I do), I have to say the 996 is an amazing value hands down. I even just about convinced my wife this was a good investment..haha!
Now onto the projects, extensive detail of every square inch, plus every service item I can think of...I like to start fresh on service. Ordered up the later ambient lighting. I have that in the M-B and just love it. Leatherique the seats. I think I want the fister exhaust upgrade too.
This car has the "invisible" bra. It's protected the paint well, but I'm considering removing, I just don't like the color variation.

Nice! Congrats. Looks like you are prepared to spend some money on modifications. Here's my first suggestion... get rid of the stupid CD holder and replace it with at simple cubby that 's actually useful. The CD tray just pulls out. Get at new cubby at bumperplugs.com
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
