Has anyone explored what's installed with temporarily (preferable) or permanently converting a 996 C4 into RWD?

Conceptually it seems doable - but one tosses out terms like "conceptually" when he has no idea WTF is actually involved.

turbo guys have done it.

Remove front half of driveline, break down front half shafts, put half shaft spline back in hub.

Not sure what electronics are in the front of it, but pretty sure it's just a temp sensor in the front diff. Unplug and call it a day.

I agree C4 is more valuable, trade or sell and get a c2 then money for upgrades.

It's a reversible procedure. If you do it, just keep the front differential and then you can reinstall it when it's time to sell.
