Default Need recommendation for independent Porsche mechanic in Allentown PA area

I have a faulty AOS and would like to use a good independent Porsche mechanic for the repair. I've read the DIYs for this and while I have all the necessary equipment, I don't have the back for it - too much bending over to do the required work. I am in the Allentown, PA area which is ~60 miles north of Philadelphia.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Try - Specialty Cars - they are in Allentown. I haven't used them yet but know of a few people who have and they were pleased with price and quality of the work. I would avoid the local dealer.

+1 for Specialty Cars in Allentown...that's where I have mine serviced now. Call and talk to Mark 610-437-9333. I have used the local dealer and although they are expensive they do good work.

Specialty cars only works on Porsche's so it is a very specialized shop. I have always been more concerned about the quality of care than the cost. I do think specialty is more reasonable than the dealer but there is no such thing as a cheap Porsche repair.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I use Knopf Porsche in Allentown to do the state inspections on my P cars. They have always been fair and honest with me, although their longtime P service advisor , who I really liked, recently retired.

I DIY most of my repairs but again I have found Knopf to be trustworthy.

Ed's retirement is the reason I stop going to Knopf. He was great and ran the place like Indy shop, big change after he left.

Although I do like Chris and Harold they are first rate service tech's and never had a problem with their work.

Yeah, I was really upset to hear that Ed retired. He was always a pleasure to work with and I'm sure he'll be missed by many P owners.

Last time I was at Knopf(last Sept.) Caine was the P service adviser, although I think he too has moved on for one reason or another. I sincerely hope they get a suitable replacement but I'll continue to go there until they give me reason to go elsewhere.

C & B Foreign cars out on the 22 in Kutztown. Ask for John, he a 911 owner and seems to have very fair prices. Ph 610-683-5777
