Default Gone for now.

Just a quick post to say thanks for the years of useful info and frequent entertainment. My '00 C2 sold last week, and the new owner is having a blast with it.

Once I've got the hours and the space for a toy again, I'll be back in a Porsche without a doubt. Dreams alternate between a 996TT and a late SC (pretty far apart, I know).

Keep the shiny side up!

Bruce.

I know we'll see you back around here in no time, you can't stay away from cars with the engine in the wrong place.

Congrats on your sale Bruce. Hopefully we'll see you soon with a Turbo or an SC. Don't be a stranger.

Hey Bruce, I haven't seen you here in a while and thought you already sold your 996.

I too have contemplated purchasing a 996 TT. Although for me, it would be a must to convert the car to RWD by removing the front drivetrain components. I have never driven a 996 TT but I have driven a 996 C4(TT and C4 have similar steering feel to my knowledge), and the steering felt a bit too heavy and numb for my tastes.

Good luck with whatever P car you choose.

Wow! Sorry to lose a long time member, but I'm glad your baby went to a good home.... funny how many of us joined the 996 club at the same time.

Hopefully we see you back here soon!

Yeah, the summer of '06 was a good one...LOL

Us old time members here on the 996 board are getting a bit thin. Good to see you here though Wayne.

It was a good summer - we were the wave of second owners... not too many of us left. Many have now traded up or out and we're the stubborn ones that are left behind.

Good to see you too! I do still stop in a couple of times a week, but it's not the daily occurrence it once was. To be honest, I now spend a lot of time over on the M3 boards. My 996 still gets the love, but my M3 is newer and shinier.

Thanks for the good wishes, lads. I know I'll be back in one of these things, without a doubt. The infection is incurable.

I'll keep lurking. You never know when my deep knowledge of money wasting mods will be useful to the community. Or when Ben Choi might might return.

No, the return of Ben is not funny - biggest troll that I've seen in all my time visiting Rennlist!

I'm guessing we see you back here sooner than later.
