1999 996 Fuel Filter
Greetings,
I have a 1999 Cab.
I just ordered the plugs, filters etc... from Pelican.
I researched DIY on the fuel filter and as I understand it, it's supposed to be located in a molded cradle on the coolant res. On my car, the cradle is empty. I found a DIY on 1999 Boxters and it says the FF is located under the car (evidently have to remove an underbody panel).
I searched this forum and found nothing. Either a PO broke the pigtail off of the filter and ran the line straight, or 99's have an alternate FF location. I know this sounds dumb. Sorry for what I hope is a stupid ?
But bottom line where is the FF supposed to be on a 99? I can't believe someone would just run without a fuel filter on a car like this.
