red interior - harder to resell?

red interior - harder to resell?
I'm considering buying a car with a red full-leather interior. (Fortunately, the exterior is silver.)
It's not my favorite color, but I recently had a chance to drive another 996 with a Boxster red interior, and to my surprise, I liked it. Just sitting there gave me a good feeling. So now I'm considering this car that is red everywhere (almost). And I'm wondering, when it's time to move on, will this take forever to sell? Or is there a minority who must have red who buy such cars up as soon as they appear? Or ... ?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I bought my first 911 in 1974, Alpine white exterior and lipstick red leather interior. Man, that was a killer combination Red leather cleans up really nice and always looks new. I have always tried to find another car with red leather interior but up to today no such luck

I love red interior I had a Honda S2000 years ago with red interior. It was my favorite interior color that I have had over the years. Someone on here just sold a silver 996 with red interior. I believe it took him a few months but can't say if the interior color deterred any potential buyers. I think if the car is in good condition when you sell it the interior won't hinder the sale

Red interior is like any color that is outside the norm. For some it will be a reason to buy the car, for others it will be a turnoff. Personally, I would love to have a car with red interior but I tend to like strange colors. A green/green car would appeal to me too.

Red Interior Dude,
I agree with The Penguin. When you go to sell that car, someone, somewhere will be looking for a 996 with a red interior - and that will make your car THE choice. It may take you a little longer - maybe not. As a very successful salesman friend of mine says, "There is an *** for every seat." (not calling anyone an *** - it is just a catchy phrase) Someone will love your red interior - If you love it - get it - enjoy it - and don't sweat it.
All the best,
Ray

I would never buy any car with a red interior, or exterior for that matter, but that's just my personal preference. Still, it's an interesting question. My guess is it would be harder to sell. I'm sure some company somewhere has done research...

Silver with a red interior is a classic Porsche combination. I think it is very nice.

I wouldn't worry about resale value due to the interior color. There are plenty of people who would consider the red interior. I like the silver exterior and red interior combination. If anything I would get a black steering wheel to break it up but I could easily live with the all red. Go for it!

My next porsche will be an arctic silver with red interior cab. I love the way it looks. Can't decide on top color. Probably black.

I have an Arctic Silver / Boxster Red 996 and love the interior. My only complaint would be the steering wheel shows dirt easily. I'm currently adding some black alcantara pieces just to break it up a little bit. But I'm doing it for a change of pace not because of any dislike of the full red. That being said, I believe the car will have a smaller potential buyer pool when it comes time to sell. BFD !!! If you like it buy it....
