99 C2 at 112K miles with original IMS in it. Tracked it for one session a couple of weeks ago and had a good run even with all stock components (except oil pan)... ran perfect.

154,700 miles as of today - of which all but the first 37,000 are miles under my butt in the last 7 1/2 years. It's my daily driver AND fun car, all rolled up into one.

Original, very strong engine. IMS upgrade at 110,000 miles, along with the first clutch replacement at the same time. Had the transmission pulled apart at 120,000 to replace the Pinion bearing and most of the others while in there. AOS, water pump, engine mounts, voltage regulator, coil packs, brake discs are about all that have been replaced, all by me.

I know this is good stuff
This is contrary to many opinions about the Blow-up- ability of these cars
If everyone who reads this
Knows that they too can get
100 thousand mores miles out of their cars 996's will be
Reconsidered

141,000 and counting on my daily driver '99 C4 Aero. Same engine until 133,000, then engine replaced by PO because he hit a semi's castoff tire tread and knocked the oil filter housing off and starved the engine of oil. He got his insurance company to buy a replacement (used) engine with 61,000 miles, so my engine has only 69,000 miles.

There are a few 996's with 200k+ miles...I'm not sure if any of them are on the original engine though

Looks like the 99's are lasting the longest, maybe because they are the oldest, could be the double row bearing. Or just the fact I have one

My 2000, on its original engine, is giving the 99's a run for their money. I see no problem hitting 200k miles in about 2 to 3 years, tops.
