Default Center Console Restoriation (2003)

Hey all, 928 guy here but I have a friend who just bought a 2003 at what he feels was a very good price.

It does have a little interior damage that needs help.

Thought I would ask you guys if you've seen damage like in the pics below and if you had any suggestions on the best route to fix or at least make it better.

Appreciate any help! He's tried standard cleaning products so whatever this is, it's pretty deep.

Fairly common marks, you can remove the console, strip and repaint, some use alumna look
Spray can. Or if $ no object go to bumperplugs.com and just get a new finished one.
I am not affiliated with the firm.

There is a reoccurring listing on the Los Angeles Craigslist for mobile, " Porsche Center Console Refinishing". His before and after photos are impressive.

Eric at bumperplugs.com refinishes consoles as well... I think it works with a core exchange. He ships you a refinished one in whatever finish you like, after installation, you send him back your old one.

The center console and a couple other interior parts scratch really easily.

I am having fun with it. Everyone who rides in my car gets to sign the center console with their fingernail.
Then in the future when I want to re do it, I will just pull it, sand it and dye it.
