Any option for different colored outer rings, similar to those in the original prePelican models, e.g. red or blue?
Should have red & blue coming in as well.

We will be releasing a DIY once we have them up on the site if you feel you'd be able to do the install yourself.

All of them are compatible with the 986 and 996. Here is a link to them in the catalog for the 996.2.

There is a link to the instructions on that page. It is a major operation, not something that I would attempt. In fact they highly recommend having a professional do it.

We will be writing up a DIY tech article for the install of these, but yes, if aren't comfortable with it we do recommend a professional do the install.

That would be a question for the manufacture. Unfortunately, I am not sure if there are future plans for making them compatible for the 964, but I can most certainly find out if you'd like.

Last I checked Pelican had the kits, but I'm not aware of any professionals that can/will perform the actual upgrade.
If anyone knows of someone that will perform the task (I think I'd **** up the heating and removal of the clear plastic covers), please disseminate the info. There was one gentleman that was doing upgrades using the original inventor's kits, but its not clear that he still does.
