Default Here's the 996 parts catalog

From the Porsche website (found via Google):

http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf...SA_KATALOG.pdf

I had not seen a link to this before so I thought I would share. Sorry if this is duplicative information.

Just a tip, open the catalog in Adobe reader (might need to Save As) to get much faster performance. It tends to really lag when you view it in your internet browser.

Glad I could contribute something useful to the forum. You've all been (and continue to be) an invaluable source of information and advice for me.

Now the bad news - the parts list on the Porsche website is woefully out of date.
If you look at the top right you will see the run date for that file is February 5, 2010 -- so it is 4 years old.
Since Porsche updates parts (and prices) monthly - there are a lot of missing updated parts.

I regularly use the 996 PET interface provided by dCAuto.

Cool thing here is they often have an image of the actual part to compare to the greasy and/or broken thing you have in your hand
