It's my old engine that I kept. There's a oil pressure issue and I pulled it before anything else happened to it since I just had the heads reworked. Didn't want all that other money wasted.
I have to send the 996 to wright motorsports to get the cam timing tensioner replaced first.

You could simply recite the laundry list of issues that the 911 has suffered from throughout the years. Valve guides, pulled head studs, snapped head studs, thermal reactors, getting MFI or CIS to work properly, A/C that isn't, exploding airboxes, chain tensioner failure, distributor belt failure, plugged SAI ports....... It's rare to see one of the "bulletproof" air cooled 911s that hasn't at least had a top end job done by 100k, at a cost that starts approaching a M96 rebuild. Decades later most of these kinks have been worked out, but owning a 911 has NEVER been a cheap proposition.

I'm happy to not be driving a Camry...
For the second consecutive year, Toyota Motor Corp. won the recall crown, according to federal safety regulators.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Toyota recalled nearly 5.3 million vehicles last year. The Japanese automaker topped Chrysler Group, which came in second by calling back almost 4.7 million vehicles.
Overall, automakers recalled almost 22 million cars last year, the NHTSA said. That was 34% higher than the previous year and the most since 30.8 million vehicles were recalled in 2004, according to agency.
Toyota’s recalls included an October call back of about 803,000 cars, including the Camry, Avalon and Venza, because of a problem that could inadvertently set off an airbag or shut down the power steering on the vehicles. It recalled an additional 780,000 RAV4 sport-utilities and Lexus HS250h hybrids to fix a suspension problem.
The automaker has a history of large recalls. It also called back 5.3 million cars in 2012 and was forced to recall millions more worldwide in recent years to address unintended acceleration and other problems.

Thanks for the revelation that there are fewer Porsches on the road than Toyotas. I appreciate the personal risk you took by being willing to step forward and shed light on this automotive industry secret. Whistleblowers like you make the world a safer place.
