Default White 996 Turbos? Should I bother?

Hi everyone. I'm in the market for a 996 turbo. After looking all day on craigslist/ebay/autotrader/etc, I have noticed no White cars! Did they make these cars in white? Are they just really rare? I'd like to get a white one, but if that's going to be impossible or very difficult, I'd like to know up front so that I can decide on another color. Thanks!

Well, since you're here: Yes, 996 Turbos came in white, but they're pretty rare.

I think the 996 in white is pretty rare in all variants. You just don't see them very often...

White is not extroverted enough.

"Weightless White" - the color choice of racers...

I would've loved to have found a white car but most seem to be on cup cars.

I'm sure they offered it in white but I don't recall ever seeing any. White looks great on the 996 GT3 but, IMHO, mostly when they have graphics on the sides (Porsche or GT3 or something similar). I'm sure you'll find one if you're patient enough. Otherwise, just get one in a better color (KIDDING!).

Hankook V12s are great tires, I've run them on multiple cars. Just because they aren't overpriced doesn't mean they aren't good tires.

FIFY.

There are more than a handful of brand snobs, perceived safety elitist, wannabe performance ****'s on here...

BTW, ironically Hankook is the choice tire that is run in German DTM racing. You know, the one with Mercedes, BMW, Audi with the big 8 cylinder motors(German Nascar, lol)?

What's really ironic is putting quality tires on your car and not driving it.
