Can someone confirm for me whether 996 and 997 seat rails are identical? Background is that I purchased some 997 sports seats that got damaged in shipping. Specific damage was the handle that allows the seat to slide back and forth (the metal piece that goes under the seat).

In looking at pictures and in reading a few other posts, it seems that the rails are the same.

If anyone can confirm, I'd appreciate it. (the 996 rails seem to be really easy to come by and much cheaper)

Not sure but they look similar. Try contacting Suncoast or a used part place. Or put a post in the Racing section........those guys should know.

I had installed a set of 997 GT3 sports seats in 996 Turbo. They fit perfectly.
