Default no love for the 996 anywhere on the air cooled forums

What a shame, aren't we all Porsche enthusiast's here? They're after all 911's as well.

Uhm, could you clarify what you mean? Why would the AC forums be praising the 996?

You could say the same thing about Boxsters - not too many 911 owners show much love for us 986 owners either......

And those 996 MK2 guys keep calling my headlights ugly. Sometimes I cry myself to sleep about it.

Here'd my theory. Porsche owner's are insecure middle aged balding men with small *****'s (peni?). Except for me. I am young, full head of hair, and hung like bull.

This is the only forum that I belong to where everyone hates everyone else and what they drive. There is a lot of mine is better than yours. The AC vs WC discussions, everyone vs the 996, 911 vs boxster, the comments I see here from one 996 owner to another, all baffle me.

So all I can conclude is that Porsche owners have issues. Me included.

Now I am just going to sit back and wait for the comment from someone to just tell me to sell my car and move on because reading what I write bothers them.

Let's all troll the AC forums and rag on their lack of water cooling. KK, any tips on trolling? "OMG, your car is so under powered it doesn't need water to cool it, LOL!" "Or, you paid what?! Sucker!"

Well, in terms of technology, the 996 is leaps ahead of the ACs, so let them be happy in their own bubble. Also, at least we drive our cars. Now that AC prices are going up, no AC owner wants to rack up the miles.

I would totally buy a 993 if I hated performance and comfort.

How do AC cars handle bumper-to-bumper traffic? I mean how much air can they possibly get going 2 mph?

I never said we should praise the 996 as superior, I just think we should all respect all Porsches. They all have flaws just like us. I used to own a 911sc and 944 turbo and now a 996. Neither was perfect

Come now, if it weren't for you Boxster owners who would take care of my hair?

OP, Seriously? All 356 and 911 owners think their model is the pinnacle of Porsche design and anything newer is just kowtowing to the masses and ruining the driving dynamics. It makes no sense to me, but thats how it is.

You want real Porsche hate? Show up to an AutoX in a diesel Cayenne. Bonus points if you can out perform all the precious AC cars
