2002 911 C4S or 911 Turbo
I currently have a 2001 Boxster S and it's the most fun car I have ever driven, and I have had a Corvette, S2000, and M5.
The guy I bought the Boxster from is selling his 2002 C4S convertible with 50K miles for $31K. I looked on Autotrader and find that that is a pretty good price.
However, when I start looking at 2002 Turbos, I find that I can get one with similar or lower miles for ~$40K.
The $10K is nothing in the bigger scheme of things. Is there a compelling reason why I wouldn't just dump the extra $10K for a Turbo? Reliability? Maintenance?
Thanks.

My opinion..... Go with the turbo!
Isn't there a member on this board with over 200k on his 996T? A car is typically as reliable as their maintenance suggests; take care of them and they'll take care of you.

Turbo!
I went from a 2000 986 with 96k miles to a 2004 996TT with 49k miles. I did think about a 2004 C4S for a bit, but then decided to w/ a Turbo. You will LOVE the turbo....

turbo for sale
you might check out my turbo for sale in the classifieds. Money is right for a no issues car. My opinion. If it wasn't 2 degrees out today I would have gone for a ride. Even though I am in the northeast, car has never seen salt. Bought in the south and babied since it got here.
Sorry for hijacking. I went from a c2 to turbo and never looked back.

Thanks for all of the input. I am pretty sure the Turbo is more fun to drive.
No one has said anything about maintenance and repairs. I'm assuming that the Turbo is not any less reliable?

these days the price difference is small... its a no brainer. Turbo.
Just think 10 or 15 years ago, people were asking the same questions, and i would be kicking myself if i didnt pick turbo.

Turbo has the better motor. Be prepared to weld or pin your water pipes. They are just glued in and have a tendency to pop out. Maintenance is very low for what you get for the money. But it is based on how many miles you drive, trany type your foot etc... Lots of options and those beautiful side air ducts!
