Default 996.2 oem tire specs?

Okay so I have a 2003 911 c2 and was wondering what the original tire specs are because I don't have the sticker on the hood like I did on my 1999 911. The rims are 18" carrera 2's I believe. Here are pictures of the rims.

The owners manual should have a section that gives the tire specs, sizes, and other tire info.

You can visit the dealer. There should be a brochure with this info available or you can visit the parts department and someone there can look up the specs for you.

You can visit say TireRack's web site and feed in your car's make/model and year and the OE tires should show up.

www.renntech.org is another good source. They have all the Porsche TSBs available online to paying members, including the current list of approved tires, sizes, etc.

Stock wheels were 17s...18 was the optional.

Heck just go to tire rack and put in make model and year it will spit out a list of all the tires for the car.

Need to know 17/18/19" wheel and width would help a lot to narrow down the selection.

225/35/18 front and 285/30/18 rear (996.1's had a 265 width in the rear for the extact same size wheel)

I think michelin pilot super sports are the updated version of the factory spec tires.

And yes, those are the Carrera 2's that were factory option starting in 2002. IMO the best factory wheel for the 996, and will buy them if you ever sell

Edit: You might have a wider front tire with those wheels. I think they are 8 inches wide up front (996.1 had 7.5")

My front tire is a 225/40zr18 and the rear is 285/30zr18 so I am assuming it isn't the OEM size but my car is lowered on h&r springs

It was an option but my car came out the factory with these rims.

Really? I find it odd that my front sidewall is bigger than the rear

This sounds right.

The 40 in the 225/40/zr18 just means you have a slightly taller tire than factory spec. Not sure what the reasoning behind this is, maybe I just have the wrong factory numbers for the 996.2

Yup. That's the correct sizing recommended by Porsche. You can verify it on the TSBs from Porsche at the site I mentioned above.

I think equal sidewall height would look better but if mine are the correct size than I want to keep them that way.
