I consider low mileage to be anything under 5,000 miles per year. For a 13 year old car, that means less than 65,000 miles in my mind. Porsches tend to be on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of use, so I might adjust that down to under 50,000 miles.

My car had 68k or so when I bought it last May. So that was just above Dennis's low mileage example, hold for Porsche cars. I now have 90,xxx and don't care

Anything under 50-75K miles for a car 10+ years old qualifies as "low" in my book, but it's a moving target.

Average miles driven annually is about 13K per year (see https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/ohim/onh00/bar8.htm). So, divide the number of miles driven by the number of years old the car is, and then compare that number to 13,000. If it's REALLY low (say, 2,000) - I'd consider that low mileage...

The good ol' boys on the turbo forum say anything over 50,000 miles is HIGH mileage (and by implication, a piece of garbage). To qualify as LOW mileage, uh, I think their rule of thumb is under 30,000 miles.
And, I'm not being facetious.

But, FWIW, my '99 coupe had 148k on it when I sold it last year. The engine had only 73k (engine change was due to a piece of road debris knocking the oil filter housing off and running the engine dry, BTW). Anyhow, the car looked and drove beautifully. These cars age very well. I wouldn't be afraid of a 100k+ mile car.

I understand there is no good answer to this.
I was just curious to people's opinion.
Me - 4000 miles per year would be what I would be looking at.
That's about 1/3 of a normal years driving, as noted above.

Depends on the elevation where you live. For example driving in New Orleans is lower mileage than driving in Denver.

Hey! How exactly is a rainbow made? How exactly does a sun set? How exactly does a posi-trac rear-end on a Plymouth work? It just does.

Yes and no, but these cars actually are mostly driven and aren't just pieces of art in a garage the same way as some exotics are.

Do agree with your milage numbers though.
