Default Just purchased my 2004 C4S!

Finally picked my C4S. It has 75k on it as of right now. It's in pretty good shape but needs a few things here and there. It's more of a project car for me. Here is a pic my wife took as my daughter and I were taking her home from the purchase:

I have already replaced the climate control LCD screen from Module Masters. Now I need to figure out why the CDR23 radio isn't working.

Congrats, love those cars. Looks like a fixed rear wing, eh? Never seen one of those. Let's see more photos.

I believe the C4S and NB cars shares similiar or the same deck lid spoiler so any aftermarket drop in for the spoiler area should work on the C4S too.

Nice car! Good luck with it.

"You know that wing really comes into play @~140 or so!" Under a picture of the same type road as in your pic.

Paraphrased from an old cartoon in Playboy, when they used to feature nudes with fur.

Wonder how subscriptions are going now that they don't have nudes at all?

In the same vein I heard that Cooking magazine has announced a change in focus from food to aluminum siding. They expect to experience an even larger bump in sales then Playboy.

Nice CS4! I'm sure your daughter is going to be finding a way to get you to let her drive it in the near future. hahaha Regarding the Porsche CDR23(i.e. Becker), in my humble opinion, it may be more economical to replace it than repair it since Becker is going to charge a major arm and leg to repair services, especially if this is the upgraded Bose system with the digital optical signal to amp. I personally purchased a Blaupunkt system with amp and it integrated perfectly. Learning the 911's wiring schematic was a chore, but once I figured it out, the system installed perfectly and now I have BlueTooth phone support and the ability to stream music from my iPhone. I didn't need to replace the speakers since they were in perfect health, but my CDR23 and Becker amp were the core of the problem. I also reused all of the Porsche wiring. If you're not comfortable working with soldiering and schematics, then you might want to take it to a custom shop, but be ready pay well over a $1000 for an upgraded system. I did it myself for under $400. Aside from the performance of Blaupunkt, I think it looks better in the car to... the newest systems Alpine, Kenwood, JVC, etc. all look like the came out of a space ship. The Blaupunkt's apperance is similar to the Becker and I even inserted a dark amber 022 filter over the main display to match the yellow appearance of the other Porsche dash lights. Hope that helps!

A lot of good points. I have an electrical engineering background and have built a few competition SQ audio systems so I am good on that front. I just wanted to try and keep everything as original as possible!

Thanks everyone for the welcome!

I've been curious on some rear wing options for the 996 C4S, I happened to see a 997 C4S with a factory areo kit and and wondering if anyone has the updated 997b areo kit on the 996?

Congrats. I love the dual exhaust tips on each side.
