Default 996 Backup Camera Installation

Anyone ever installed a backup camera in a 996? Just curious if it's possible and if so what components were used and how long/successful installation was.

You can buy the whole system on eBay pretty cheap (<$100 shipped from China) including camera, LCD display monitor and wireless transmitter/receiver (which make installation simple and not having to run the video cable)

It's not needed but once you have one on another car it's hard to go back

When I got my C4S it had a Pioneer AVIC double DIN head unit installed, with a back-up camera capability. Got this backup camera on Amazon for about $20: "Esky EC170-06 HD Color CCD Waterproof Car Rear View Backup Camera". The connections were straight forward, but the installation was a pain routing the wires. Handy when reversing in a parking lot to avoid hitting anything.

I have one on my C4S. Not needed, but nice to have for sure. I actually didn't realize it was on there until after I bought the car. It's mounted just above the license plate and not visible unless you crouch down or look from a distance. It's wired to the kenwood LCD radio and tied into the reverse lights in the fuse box so it comes on when backing up.

Why would you need a camera? Or rearview mirror, for that matter....
