GT3 Seat & Tequipment Bar Group Buy
Creating a separate thread to simplify and see who's interested.
The group buy is for the GT3 Seat pairs, but I'd also like to add the 6part Tequipment Roll Bar, as this will save on installation time and money if the two are installed at the same time.

These shops sell the seats and the bar, but if anyone knows of anywhere else? Foreign Affairs can add deviated stitching and painted seat backs; By Design can do seat backs, also.
If you're interested, post which colour/optioned seat you want and if you want the Tequipment Safety Bar. Edit your posts if you change your mind...

1 pair of black leather chairs for certain. (would also like the Alcantera inserts if we can get them.)
I am interested in the bar, but have read somewhere here that it will limit the rear movement of the GT3 seats with lowered mounting rails that I will likely need to use. The bar shown looks like a 4 mounting point type, what are the downsides of this one?

My understanding is the 6part Safety bar (pic) has the harness and cross beams at the front and the 4part does not, but both are 4-point mounting; the Roll Cage has 6 mounting points. The 4part bar maybe less restrictive?
[Edit]Official name of the 4part bar is the Panamericana sports roll-over bar.

How about a group buy on the EP Exhaust Rockit just recently installed? I would be down for that..
Does the bar cause any problems in ways of Insurance, etc? I know someone who wrecked his car and had to remove the bar before the adjuster saw the car, stating that they would consider it raced and not honor his claim? Anyone know anything about this?

I talked with Sam, over at By Design in CA, and they can do a one time group buy price of $1350 per seat if we can get 6 people. Their shipping price anywhere in the US is $50 per seat. Painted seat backs with them are $350 per seat. Installation of seat if you buy from them is ~$100; install of seat and bar is $380.
I think for guys in S.Cali that are interested, By-Design's price for GT3 Seats works out cheaper, if you include installation - just.
Their number is 888-993-2911, ask for Sam and mention my name (Noel) and you are part of this group buy.

Is the group buy through By Design or through either?
Are Foreign Affairs shipping prices per pair or each?
What is the price for tequipment 6pt roll bar with By Design?
Thanks, Rob

The By Design's price for GT3 seats requires a group buy of 6 people. Foreign Affairs prices do not require a set amount of orders, just call them up and mention you're part of this group buy - my understanding is shipping is $175 for the pair to CA. By-Design's prices for the roll bars were about ~$200 more than FA, but then I believe FA's shipping price for the roll bar is ~$250 where BD's is $50.

Confusion, confusion........OK, so there are 3 sets in FA, so that takes care of the east coasters. Who is organizing the group here in CA, or is it just a case of each to his own now?
