I'd want $450 for the mufflers
With good cat's?
Add $1500 - 2000, I think these are now NLA
Tips? another 2 - 300.

So, if I have a complete exhaust with tips and good cats, I am looking at ~ $2k - $2.5k!

How does one check the cats?

I have a system that was removed at ~ 10-15k miles sitting in the shed, the likely hood of this ever going back on my car is pretty much 0 at this point! Guess I need to see if there are any mice nests there :-)

Thanks

Ray

Heck I'd buy a set just to send out to mod! Might be interested in just the cans.

FWIW, I couldn't get rid of mine for so long I tossed it. Boxster same. Same for my stock R8 exhaust as well. Nobody wanted any of them. Everyone is upgrading and stock parts weren't moving. I have my RS7 exhaust in the attic (as I recently upgraded that one), but I suspect it will also be trash some day.

Yep, two problems: Many states are requiring Factory / OEM emission systems - includes exhaust, and there are not a lot of good aftermarket exhausts for the GT3 - Just an opinion, don't really care that XYZ's system sounds great, just from what I can tell, a lot don't pass the dyno test...

Lucky, I line in MA which is nearly as bad as CA, and even NH, ya know the 'Live free or die' state is becoming picky!

I would be interested in the stock mufflers if you are parting with those

I will likely pull the system from storage and part it out, but that is between recovering from shoulder surgery and snow storms!

Heal well.
The only way I know of to check cats is to bolt them on the car and then perform sniff test for exhaust gasses.
Reading O2 sensor voltages will probably work also if you can't find a friendly gas analyzer shop.
DON"T throw the cats away. Someone will need them.
