Default WTB Driver 6/3

I’m sure most of you have seen my activity here, but I wanted to make a thread in hopes an owner is looking to part with their car.

I am looking for a driver 996gt3 with no major stories. Feel free to PM or text/call me if you have or know of a car for sale.

Thanks

Honestly, I'm not actively trying to sell mine, but with the quarantine, no track time and having a 6th kid, maybe it's time? Bought the car from a Rennlister back in 2009. I've owned it since. It's at the shop getting coolant pipes done. I have lots of records and receipts, but I didn't keep all of them over the years. Lots of street miles and decent amount of track time as well. Lots of posts here an in the DE forum regarding this car. Rennlist search my name will likely turn up all kinds of stuff I don't remember. ha! Now has ~54.8 K miles -> but it had 49,917 in May of 2015. So it's been driven 5K miles in the last 6 years... doh! I'm a bad GT3 owner!

I haven't given any thought to pricing as I never seriously considered parting with it. Heck, I haven't even followed the 6_3 market in years. Surely it's worth a million bucks by now? lol

Okay so going to be blunt after reading your post your not interested in selling. Neither am I. F*** the 991. The 992 ugh I kinda want. The 997 isnt OG. Your 55k mile gt3 is probably worth close to $1m. Maybe minus a zero. And then reduce price by 25%.

Thanks for posting this. I had a few in depth chats with the Seller before he listed this. I decided to pass on the car after finding out the rear subframe was replaced. He was really nice, seemed to love the car and take car if it. He was stuck on 80k, which is more than I’m willing to pay. Thanks for sharing!!!!

I had a great talk with TD (Himself), he may have convinced me to take the BAR exam in Tn. Chatted over bourbon lol, and got sidetracked. He’s on the fence, so we’re seeing where it ends up. Decent math, by the way. Hahah

I think I'm over the mental block on selling and have decided to let this one go. I'm going to work up some numbers later today...

You'll have visitation rights, and right of first refusal if needed.

There are two mutually assured outcomes here: TD you will regret it; IJ you will love it. :-)

More than you were willing to pay for a GT3? Or THAT GT3? If a car like this had an ask of $69k with tornado damage and bad synchro it may be better to put your cards on the table about what you seek.

Rear subframe replacement seems a rather minor history given how long ago that happened and the fact the subframes are swappable parts. Especially if you are looking for a "Driver".

Now whether a 70k mile GT3 is worth $80k or not, guess we will find out when the auction ends.... Going to pen my guess at $73k. Putting a listing for another car with an asking price does no good unless you know what it traded hands for.

I have no issues with paying 80k or more for the right GT3. I don't think its worth an in depth conversation as there are so many variables with each car, but I wouldn't pay 80k plus shipping to buy a Silver gt3 with replaced subframe, 70k miles, and a front incident leaving a crooked bumper.

Hope this sheds some insight as to what type of car I am looking for, and what type of buyer I am...are you selling your 6/gt3?

Yes, I heard the tornado car sold for mid 50's -- as we all know ASKING prices are different than SELLING prices.

Back to the pcarmarket car... I would really consider it in the low 70's especially after finding out that the seller had posted about the rear subframe issue back in 08'. When I spoke to Paul, he told me the subframe was replaced, and there was no documentation at that point. Big difference.
