Caliper rebuild
I’m looking to have the brake calipers powder coated on my 996 cup and figured it would be a good time to rebuild them. Fortunately the ceramic pucks are all there and in good condition. Piston condition is yet to be determined but the calipers are currently still functioning well with even pad wear. I will obviously need new piston seals and dust boots. Can these be ordered as a kit? Any pointers are greatly appreciated!

Some info in the thread below. I have one set of calipers rebuilt with the low-cost centric kits, no problems. although not a lot of track time on them.
Have another set of calipers with racing brake pistons, haven't used them yet.

(don't see the kits on their website any more with a quick glance)

Lastly Brembo is not big on powdercoating their calipers, but they aren't big on repainting them either.

A couple things: here are the consequences if your powder coated doesn't listen to you:

So, if you do powder coat, tape and block off everything yourself. I purchased the rebuild kit from Racing Brake which fit well. It's on their site just under an odd name (40/32/28 for the front and 30/28 for rear I think).
If you paint, it's pretty easy with the VHT paint:

@RyanH. thank you for the pics and info. Wow, that has certainly got me considering what could go wrong! What was the outcome with your calipers? Given my calipers are going OK, maybe it's best that I leave everything as it is and just give them a tidy up with some VHT paint? The old "if it ain't broke" idea is chiming in my head. I clicked the link for the centric kit, looks like the front is out of stock, at least on amazon. Perhaps I will just fit some new dust boots, repaint and be done with it.

Easy task all around. I'd be surprised if you needed new pistons. Maybe seals, but probably not. Boots I can see, though. Contact RB and see if they can just get you the boots.
That said, it's under 2 hours all in to rebuild them completely, so if they're off for paining, might as well get em done. As noted in my earlier thread, I did this project 5 years ago! wow! Time flies. All good to date. No issues at all.

Don't worry about dust seal. They burn up within a day or two at the track. I've never used them and never had any issues.

You obviously wear the pants at your house. My wife would freak out. Her kitchen is off limits for auto projects. I need to put an old range in my shop
