If my car was for sale, I certainly would not be looking to trade it in based on CARFAX values. It's interesting, with all the data they compile, that they can be so far off the mark...

Trade in value takes into account that the buyer has a profit margin in addition to what you as the seller receives.

I agree on the wholesale price versus retail. Also, the low production number of the GT3 makes it difficult to pin down a real number.

It's easy to see the "selling" price for cars, but the actual final sale price for private sales is not always known. Auctions may be different, but then again, auctions tend to bring out buyers with less sense than cash.

A 22K mile one just sold for $144K on Bring A Trailer. Amazing
