Cool 996 GT/Cup/RSR videos
I'm starting a thread for a compilation of your favorite 996 GT3/GT2/Cup/RSR videos. Given the Youtube translate tool I think videos in various languages (i.e German) would be pretty cool too.
Let's start with a 6.1 GT3 Tim Schrick video.

A compilation of Misha's videos/comments which I'll admit was the reason why I started looking closer at 996 GT3's. I had a 997.2 GT3 about 10 years ago, which I really did like but for some reason didn't LOVE, so I had sold it for my 997.2 Turbo S. TBH though I think at the time I was infatuated with PDK + easy FBO power with the turbo.
Fast forward to mid/late last year when I came across these videos comparing the 996 generation to the 997.2, and that's when I was like "really?!" I had always overlooked the 996, probably as with a lot of people. I never disliked the headlights of the 996 though as they always reminded me of the GT1 as opposed to fried eggs... lol.
Compared to 997.2 GT3:

This video just convinces me I need to add a 996 GT3 RS to the collection one day.

Love, love, love the 2004 RSR. Saw Andy Wilzoch's when he kept the car at Motorsport Ranch. The big surprise for me was just how small this car seemed when standing next to it. What a GREAT machine!!! I had an opportunity to buy an 02 RS that a local dentist owned. He blew up the motor at TWS and the car just sat for a long time. Woulda, coulda, shoulda!!!

you and me both. Probably only car id sell my 3.9 for in order to make it happen. I just saw my first one in the flesh and it had a presence and curb appeal that I was not expecting. It was an import from Japan that I just happened upon at a gas station Scottsdale LOL. Super cool cars.

The RS as we know is a homologation car and as close to the RSR as a road GT3 ever got. It's (GT3) better in every measurable way as a drivers car. The values in the UK for CSL have gone astronomical recently, I remember a time (and passed up multiple opportunities to buy) when they were 1/3 the price they are now. They don't represent value anymore -

I’m not picky… I’ll take either color!

Totally get what you mean here Scott. I remember the first time I saw one in a showroom - it had the spotlight in said showroom and there was a certain aura around it - matched only by 997 GT2RS that was at Paragon Porsche (UK) in December 2022. THAT was a beast.

It looks like that car has a proper roll cage as well looking at the design by the A pillar.

To be honest I wanted to fall asleep watching this... BUT... it is just very nice to look at the car driving from the outside on a nice sunny day.
