240 miles of twisties!!!
Thought I would share a great 4.5 hr drive I had in Vermont on Rt 100 a week ago. Rt 100 is in the top 10 most scenic drives and is lotsa twisted fun w/little or no traffic on the weekends..

If you think the Vermont/Upstate NY roads are fun, bring your car to the track. I just got back from 2 days at Lime Rock and there were 4 GT3s---2 Speed Yellow, 1 Black, and 1 Seal Gray.
The Jamie Ford/Rennlist event is still open---sign up and head out to Watkins Glen with us. It's only 3.5 hours from Clifton Park. C'mon, do it----you and your car will never be the same.

A nice scenic drive......
Someday I hope you will exercise the car in the environment for which it was designed, you have all of the goodies to look the part, roll bar, seats, harness, exhaust, wing.
Only then, will you truly appreciate what the car that you drive is capable of, and you will be amazed.
Make the time and do a DE with PCA, sign up for PDE, something, for winter is on it's way and a year will have passed without really experiencing what your GT3 it is all about.

Thanks guys...and yes, I will make it to the track someday...I look at it like this: "I having a long, slow comfortable screw" with my GT3. I am slowly, safely and effectively feeling out the car. Insurance is an issue for me from a physical damage standpoint. Coverage from reading the policy for DE's is not mentioned, nor speciffically excluded (Not sure if I like abiguity). I don't know if I could live with myself if I doinked it into a wall or guard rail...would rather experiment handling the oversteer situations, ect with a somewhat less expensive car...Attending the Porsche PDE school would probably be a wiser route to take first as far as my introduction to "track crack"! :-)

I'm conservative on the brakes. I have more fun smooth braking earlier to go slower in, but then go faster out!!!

BTW, you only live once, and shouldn't miss out on tracking this amazing car because of a few potential dents or scratches. You can buy an annual supplemental track insurance policy for only 1.5% of the stated value of the car.
Next year (not to far away) I will attend my first event. I think I am just about ready...
