Default Sorta OT: Aston Martin DBRS9, market competition for GT3 Cup?

Hi folks,

It looks like Aston Martin is trying to get a slice of the very lucrative pie Porsche made for itself with the GT3 Cup. They are selling the DBRS9 as a club-racer for gentlemen racers. I've no idea how capable this car will be, but irrespective of that, it's a damn fine looking machine.

this is NOT a car for club racers, its for privateers, a cheaper version of the race car.
Its not street legal and its much more expensive than the Cup and RSR

It's my understanding that the Aston-Martin racers are for rent only (for a season). They remain the property of A-M, and the theory is that they will be sold in a couple decades at a premium, based on the sales performance of vintage racecars from Ferrari, Porsche and the like...
