Saw an interview with Jeff last night about that test drive and he said he wished the car had paddle shifters b/c he wasn't used to shifting and preferred left foot braking. Oh the travesty!

Saw the road test yesterday... interesting comments by Tommy Kimble (sp?).They didn't post lap times... which would have been worthwhile.
Johny O'Connel blew them away in the C-6R... partially due to his experience at Road Atlanta.

Another insult to the vehicle would be a nascar driver testing it - what the hell does a nascar oval racer know about driving sportscars? Sportscars have brakes, and they can turn right...

Jeff godon hasn't done too bad with road coarses ie infineon. I would cringe more if those guys from IRL ie Dan wheldon/sam hornish would do the test drive. They both didn't do to well at infineon. Regards. Mike

put it this way... compare a road racer (like Bergmeister, etc) with one of those top oval guys in a Z06 on a road course, that would be fun to watch. It would be a joke...

I am not fan of nascar, but I think Gordan can drive it as good as anyone. The guy didn't do bad in his short time in a GP car, and does well in the nascar road courses. From time to time these nascar guys take rides in the alms and do pretty well.

Have to agree that the show was a disappointment but as far as Jeff Gordan is concered he is a very good driver. Has been offered an F1 ride but turned it down due to the fact that the money he makes in NASCAR is far greater then the money he a smaller f1 team could offer him.
