Default GT2 trying to drift

Seems like a complete waste of a good car to me, but to each his own...

POOF! There goes $700 of rear rubber...

It really shows the rear weight bias.

I love that video, it is worth plenty of laughs...that guy should enter a donut contest!

Drifting seems like a sport full of idiots for a target audience of idiots!

That being siad, the truly talented drift drivers have some remarkable car control abilities.

Drifting with a car designed for maximum grip on a race course, that is just moronic! I had a Cadilac CTS-V, now that was a drift car!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds to me like you guys are a bunch of jealous, uptight, dreamers, who wished they could own and drive the wheels off a GT2. My GT2 was built by Imagine Auto and Evolution Motorsports to do many things well...maybe not drifting, but why not give it a try, I knew it would be very difficult to drift a rear engined car making 637 to the wheels, but it sure was fun and the crowd was very entertained. Oh, those tires were 4 year old Pilots, don't concern yourself with the tire bill. Care to see some more videos:

Cleve

P.S. Adding another file...will make around 744lbft torque to the wheels now.

Some of us got that out of our system in high school.

I'll just have to make do with my lowly GT3, wishing I "could own and drive the wheels off a GT2".

Whatever floats your boat...

As you stated, it must be all that jealousy I have for your car & skills that make me this way...

Thanks Marty! Some guys think these cars should stay in the garage and never be enjoyed...they are made to be DRIVEN! A few powerslides ain't gonna hurt it.

Cleave,

I would highly doubt that there are many owners here that are jealous of a GT2 and are not in a position to buy a GT2 if they really wanted one. Dollars were not a consideration when I bought my GT3. I have great respect for Steve and have driven cars that he has tuned, they are wonderful. I also love the GT2 and if I had the roads(and time), I would love to own one, mod it and spend some time breaking local land speed records. My comments were not inteded to insult you, simply point out that drifting is not what that car is built for. It is built to stick to corners and go VERY fast in the straights. Personally, I do my doughnuts in parking lots sans the crowd of idiots. Face it, our cars like to stick or spin, there really isn't much in between.
