Default GT2 WITH ALL-WHEEL DRIVE?

is it true that some 996 GT2 cars came with all wheel drive?

and how much trouble would it be to add all-wheel drive to a gt2?

No it's not true. If you find a GT2 with 4WD then you have found a turbo with a GT2 badge..... If you want 4wd then buy a turbo. The whole point of the GT2 is to remove the unnecessary 4wd and the weight penalty of it.

If someone converted their GT2 to awd, they deserve a prize for stupidity.

Here here!

Now the question SHOULD have been, "Can I buy a cheaper turbo and pull the 4wd out?....." That would make sense.... 4WD? Yep, useful for crossing a desert but in a sports car? Nup..............

Please do not buy or look into a GT2, it obviously is not for you.

i asked if all wheel drive could be added to the gt2 in part of a rally car build........ FYI
damn subarus on wet days kill the all competiton....... so yes, a turbo would be good, but a gt2 motor would be better.

unless you guys think the motor is only as good as the base turbo model...........

Options:
1: Typo on the ebay ad
2: Someone spent a lot of money to ruin a GT2
3: They are just full of sh^t

^I've seen the car you're talking about and the seller is a dipsh!t. He has a Turbo, not a GT2.

The GT2 powertrain was an option on the 996TT. Solves your problem.
