My GT3 meet the GTR
I am rather impressed with the car but not sure whether I see myself in one. It is FAST and GIGANTIC! My car look tiny parking next to it. One of the few things impressed me is the power delivery. It is amazing that there are so much usable power everywhere (I think they copied from Porsches). Everything comes in at around 2500rpm and keeps on going till you hit 7000. Car has 255 fronts and 295 rear tires and we (2 people in the car) lose traction going from 1st to 2nd. Sooo much power for 4000lbs car. The car has ecu upgrade so the owner said it adds 61 horsepower. Gear box also shifts SOOO aggressively. I have doubts that the gear box is going to withstand a track usage because the shifts are uber violant that at one point, I thought it's gonna blow up. It makes this loud clucking noise between shifts. And, the drive shafts or differentials make this weird clicking and whining sounds. Definitely not a quiet and luxury cruisers like Lexus or Mercedes AMGs. It makes all kinds of noises. By the way, everything is based on the R mode settings on shifting and differentials so it is the most racy mode. Oh...some folks are convinced that it will lap VIR in low 2:00 on R comps with recaros and some weight reductions.
Some pictures of David and Goliath. LOL!

Datax, your views represent what most all of the magazines have expressed. That color actually makes it look better than a "box" with wheels.
Did you drive it, or were you a passenger?
Thanks for posting pic's too!

Ken your GT3 for the win, I told you you wouldn't want one after experiencing it, and if you did get one, you know what I would do next time we were on the track together LOL!
Grey is the best color for it though!

As for the gearbox breaking, there is now a growing list of broken gearboxes for the new Nissan. One owner has been asked to cough up $20K to replace it as it broke doing launch control. They claim the manual says not to use it much and if you do it will void the warranty. Nice!

If you meant street racing, no. I would probably get owned anyway. But, told the guy that we should register a trackday together and he agreed so stay tuned.
Haha. Yea, you wouldn't be able to do anything because I'm gonna strip the car down to the metal if I ever buy one for the track fun. Let's just hope that their V Spec version comes with 6 speed box, carbon roof and other light weight bits and pieces.
I noticed the GTR has a lot of junk in the car. There is a sub woofer between two back seats, spare tire, power this, power that parts. Wonder whether the car is easy to remove weight.
