nailed
I parked out in front of my favorite cafe today (Bernie's on 24th for you locals) and the parking ***** nailed me for no front plate.
Almost ruined my coffee. Almost.
A while back I saw a GT3 with a tow hook mounted front plate holder. This seems like the perfect solution to my problem, can anyone point me to where I can buy one?

20 years of multiple cars with no front plates...and then I got 3 tickets earlier this year for it on 2 different cars. All of a sudden it's high priority in SF, since there are no other problems here.
I found the bracket that came with the car and installed it. Completely ruins the look. Will probably take it off again next year. Hopefully, they'll be on to the next big emergency then...like jaywalking or panhandling in the median.

No front plate in san francisco is $120 getting stopped by a patrol car is $128. Last year or year before that it was only $100- lol. Mike ps- looks ugly with plate and flimsy mount after a few knocks parking- it strips and fly off( on my previous 996)

I'd rather have a $120 plate ticket than a red light ticket or a photo radar ticket. But that's just me. Plus I think Porsches look ridiculous with a front plate.

Amen to that brother. I don't run any plates at all. I've found it to be very comforting when I don't see the flashing lights from an enforcer's car that has just passed me in the opposite direction. Taking the long way home... again.
