Default GT 2 / 3 Hard Shell Seats For Sale

Have a very nice pair of factory leather hard shell seats from a GT 2 or GT3.
Tan savanna beige leather in nice shape.
$2000 pair.
Thanks
I found one pair of the side brackets that will go with them.

you need more than sidebrackets. these seats are 2600 brand new from suncoast.
if you were to buy rails alone (no brackets) they are $600 per side.
these brackets are the ABSOLUTE BEST, i have had more sparco, recaro sliders than most shops. they ALL SUCK.

once you use these factory rails, nothing else is worth while.
you got to get the rails for these.

Went to their ad and although they show the seats with sliders, the don't specify that they are included and on the later GT3 seats, they say they are included.
Regardless, they are for black seats only. Thanks for the tip.

From suncoastparts.com:
UPDATE!! Retail price on this set is currently $5560.40!!! This is the highest we have ever seen. We have a limited supply at the old pricing, once we sell out, this pricing may disappear for good. If you've been considering these seats, don't hesitate.

This is a set of Black Leather GT3 seats. These easily replace your stock seats, and are perfect for around town or on the track. Significantly lighter than stock seats. No modifications are necessary, these use the existing mounting points. These are compatible with the factory racing harness sets as well as the standard 3-point seat belts. These come directly from Porsche, and are made by Recaro.

Default 996 GT3 Seats in 997 GT3 - airbag question

I've installed the 996 GT3 seats in my 2007 997 GT3 with success. The airbag light is on, as I expected. The dealer tried to reset the sensor but was unsuccessful. My questions:

1. Is the dealer right, or can the sensor be reset?

2. More importantly, are my airbags functional now with the light on? If so, are all airbags (both seats) functional?

I understand that this issue may be related to the advanced airbag system in my 997. I don't really care if the light is on, but I DO wish to have the airbags functional. Can anyone explain the situation?

The airbag in the seat needs to be turned off. Some dealers have figured it out in the PIWIS, others have not.

You can dye them.

Contact this ebaY seller (out of England), and they will be able to give you the exact Porsche color match.

That's very interesting.. although looking at the eBay ad, it seems that it is more meant for restoring the color of a faded leather, as opposed to change the color of a different color leather... I wonder how well it works!

I probably prefer just getting the natural brown version of the GT3 seats to begin with. (Yes yes, you don't see them on sale often..)
