don't put in the GT3 seats and harnesses without roll protection...you are safer with the stock seats/belts with no roll bar

Considering the availability of new or used seats and roll bars, this is relatively good solution IMO for street-ability and limited DE. Key word being relatively. The ideal solution on the other end of the spectrum is a cup car cage. Many on this board started with this setup and eventually moved on to more permanent solutions. If you decide to go this route, be sure the anti-sub harnesses bolt to the CAR and not to the sub-bar that is attached to the movable seat. Good luck!

Sounds like you're just getting started. IMHO it's not really necessary to outfit your car with track seats, harnesses, roll bar etc to get started doing DEs. Initially, you'll be working on the fundamentals ...line, smoothness, consistency ... and your instructor won't be impressed with your speed. You can easily do quite a few DEs with what you've got.

GT3 seats are certainly OK. You can buy them new or pick them up for about $2000 from somebody else that bought them new. I've never seen ANY GT3 seats that didn't have harness holes. Don't buy a knock off seat. There should be an FIA sticker on the back of the seat. Personally I don't like GT3 seats for street use because they're just not all that easy to get into and out of ... but they're an OK compromise seat. For track use, leather is OK but cloth is a lot better.

Good luck and have fun.
